Is Glenn Ford in this movie?

When Godfrey goes back to the men in the dump/construction site, one of the guys who speaks looks like Glenn Ford. I don't see any credits anywhere for him, but the time frame fits... Ford's first credit is 1937.

I was wondering the same. In the scene when he takes Tommy Gray to show him Godfrey Smith's place of birth.

...I would personally doubt that William Powell and Glenn Ford had ever met, though I am sure, many times, they must have attended some function or other simultaneously (e.g., the Academy Awards ceremonies)...
