like the Queen in Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"? I mean almost to the point of being a live model for the animators?

Actually, they based the Evil Queen on actress Gail Sondergaard. Note the slanted eyes and elongated facial shape, even the shape of the mouth. Not Gail Patrick at all.
