What did Godfrey do at the end?
At one point he did something with the pearls and stocks or something but I didn't quite follow it, could someone explain it please?
shareGodfrey sold or pawned Cornelia's pearls converting them to cash. He used the money in the stock market; he shorted the Father's company stock (sold stock while at a high price, bought back at low price), making enough money to replace the pearls, the Fathers stock and extra money to assist and employ the "Forgotten Men".
This is one of my favorite movies. I think it's the best screwball comedy ever!
