Far better than Duck Soup

Ok, perhaps I missed the point with Duck Soup, but aren't both films meant to be examples of physical/slapstick comedy?

I find this a far better example of this, and very very charming, whereas Duck Soup simply bored me by comparison!

I never get bored of Groucho's witty remarks. It's a shame you didn't like it. With that said... Although I really love Duck Soup I have to agree that Modern Times is the more enjoyable of the two. It only beats it by a hair though. Maybe you should watch another Marx brothers flick then, if you like it, give Duck Soup a second chance. Only a suggestion.

My vote goes for Duck Soup. Modern Times was good, but as far as all-out laughs, Duck Soup wins, hands down! And compared to Chpalin's other films, this was probably my least favorite. Give me The Gold Rush or City Lights anyday!

Thanks for the feedback, I may well give some other Marx films a go, as this, I think is the only one I've seen.

As for City Lights, I loved that also, but not as much as this.
Chaplin is so charming and affable, whereas I found the Marx brothers to be annoying and a bit smug.
