The most amusing movie ever made ?

I haven't seen most of top 250 comedy movies but this one was hilarious. According to Rotten Tomatoes this is the best comedy movie ever made. Why is Dr.Strangelove or Monty python considered so great. Monty python was similar to meet the Spartans while I didn't find Dr.Strange love funny, perhaps I didn't get the jokes. Can anyone suggest me similar movies.

The most amusing ever? I think it's one of the 4 best firlms ever. And the other 3 are also from Chaplin: The Great Dictator, City Lights and The Kid.

Which of the 4 is the best? Can't really tell.
