The costumes on the girls in the "Beautiful You" number bear a striking resemblance to Erte's work?
Was he responsible but just not credited?

Adrian, MGM's contract designer, designed the women's costumes and the credits make a point to mention that he designed the women's show costumes. He, however, probably used Erte as an influence, being that Erte had a great impact on fashion during the time in which the film is set.
