"Les Preludes" by Franz Liszt dominated the third serial film. The fastest-known recording of the poem was tracked in the 1940 serial film. Spectacular is right.

Rick,

Thank you. I know I'm getting into this a little late in the game. But now that you've identified the "theme" (as well as all of the other "background" music). I can now finally download and enjoy. I hadn't a clue that it was "Les Preludes" by Franz Liszt.

Again. Many thanks. I've been scratching my head and have asked many "so-called" classical "experts" about the "soundtrack" on the third serial. No one could help me. Until you. Again. Many thanks.

By the way "Les Preludes" by Franz Liszt, is an astonishingly powerful masterpiece. T'is a damn shame I've forgotten it. But no more.
