For all the Grandparents and Parents who saw their chapters on THE BIG SCREEN, On Saturday Afternoons...and the "Boomers" who ran home from school, set the table and settled down for THEIR Chapter... Thank You HENRY MACRAE.

Mr. Macrae was the man who started it all: THE PRODUCER of FLASH GORDON...born today in 1876.

Henry was no John Stahl, but he was exactly what "little U" needed at the time:
He was FAST and CHEAP. He was also able to "rob Peter to pay Paul", by careful recycling of sets, props and music. HENRY MACRAE made UNIVERSAL's product look stylish, and almost expensive.
