When Myrna Loy looks into camera and says 'See?'..

When William Powell is trying to call the police to report Robert's murder the nightclub owner tries to stop him and Powell bops him on the head with the phone earpiece and knocks him out. This is followed by Myrna Loy looking right into the camera and saying "See?" What is this referencing? Thanks!

After nightclub owner says, "Give me that phone," Nick says "Certainly" as he hits him with it. Nora asks, "See?" as if to say "See, he told you he'd give it to you!"

Thank you for answering that as I too like the OP didn't get it and after failing to uncover any reference to 'See?' anywhere online I thought this might be one of those old time movie references relegated to obscurity, which I found a little surprising considering it's an early example of breaking the fourth wall: a fun trope.

After writing this sentence I wanted to preserve it:

It's a joking reference to the gangsterism "Such-and-such, see" that they'd already been joking about earlier in the movie, and imo it's also her saying "Now you see why I think he's dreamy, THE MAN?" to the audience, because the movie hasn't _directly_ established him as much other than a drunk until then.

Your first explanation applies to her saying "See" in the next movie, Another Thin Man.
In this one, she is letting the audience in one of the things she finds hot about Nick.

"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government."

No, my comments are all about this movie.
