After Scrooge's nephew Fred says "I believe it has done me good and will do me good, and I say God bless it", Bob Cratchit says something in the gesture of cheering him on, I would guess. But what is he saying exactly, and what does it mean?
Thanks. We were wondering, my mother said we'd never know but I told her I'd ask, I told her we lucked out here because it's on a DVD with the 1949 version narrated by Vincent Price, now if it were that version we had trouble understanding, we would be out of luck because nobody's talking about that one, at least for this one there are some people discussing it.
Agreed, the version narrated by Vincent Price is a little gem too. Marley's entrance (bursting through the door) is one of my favorites. For a very short running time that version packs in a lot of goodies.
