What fun to figure out some familiar faces!

When I sat down to watch this movie, I was quite familiar with George Brent and Colin Clive, but had never seen Josephine Hutchinson in a movie. Still, she seemed familiar and it drove me to IMDB to figure out where I'd seen her before. Turns out, I had just seen her as an old woman in a rerun of Little House on the Prairie, as the woman who pretends she died to see if her family will come to her funeral.

Then at the end, I realized that the nurse was the Mother Abbess from The Sound of Music. I had never seen her as a young actress either. I love making these kind of connections!

That's part of the fun of watching a lot of these older movies! I have similar feelings when I come across young Richard Attenborough in movies from the 1940s and 1950s since I'm so used to seeing him as an older guy in JURASSIC PARK.
