A person told me a few weeks ago that the crucifix the mother wears is actually torn off her as the dress comes off and you can see it on the dress if you stop frame it. I have watched this over and over again and I think they may be correct. Let me know what you guys see.
shareI haven't seen the video yet but her dress was way open in the front which has been mentioned numerous times as showing too much. Plus as you see the dress go up, her dress is split open, so I don't see how her necklace got caught. I've seen that crucifix on her years later when she was playing other parts.
shareHey Doug, great topic, so I watched the slow motion short and you definitely see the crucifix dangling off her neck seconds before she realizes the hook has her dress but when she stands up facing the audience I could not see it around her neck AND when she is turned around and her back is facing the audience as she is desperately trying to free herself she is leaning a bit towards the backstage camera and the crucifix is not at all visible! Could they have done different takes at different times back then ? And spliced the scenes together? Where she had the crucifix on at one time and didn’t put it on at the other filming?
