so I have a question---when kitty's dress is torn off did she drop to her knees or to make herself small drop to a squat? watching some youtube videos where women get their dress pulled off they instinctly drop to a squat. The prop placed in front of her by spanky implies she was in a squat. All I have to say is what great view for the people in the audience.

back = people thought she was standing when Spanky pulled the prop in place.Most people can see the height difference and realize she's kneeling.
Your question is one that i've been asked many many tims over the yrs and I have to say I think it is up to the viewer to say what is the reason.The best answers say that the force of the curtain tearing off her dress force her back down on her knees making her then sit back on her heels just as she is with the electronic shock.I think most people would say this is the way she is posed behind that prop.The people say that Spanky's mother had no idea what she was doing as she was already in shock or stunned from her experiance and just moved along with the force of the curtain.
The next most popular idea runs along the same vein saying it's the force of the curtin ripping off her dress that forces her to the floor but this time Spanky's mother is actually squatting.She is actually posed very much like the front of the stage prop -squatting with her legs spread and her arms posed in between her legs.I must say this idea makes a hell of a alot more sexier that the first.
But after watching it and doing some thinking about it I cast my vote with the majority,as this would make the most sense.
Doug has it nailed it, I think anyway.She is not squatting to hide herself from the audience view.She tried pulling on her dress to counteract the pulling on the ropes by the Grandmother thus resulting when her dress tears off her she is still trying to counteract the energy comming from the otherside but her dress is gone and there is no longer any pressure on the ropes so her own strength pulls her down to her knees.
I used to believe that she was behind the prop in the same pose as the front of the prop with her down on her haunches with her legs spread apart and her hands counterbalancing her in front of her.Listening to other people and their opinions I realized that I was wrong and she is,as Doug says,sitting on her legs with her behind sitting on her shoes.This would be the same as she was as she was shocked.You can see this when Spanky pulls the stageprop into place she is definatley not squatting.It is a very sexy idea that she is squatting like to stageprop as the audience would be able to see Spanky's mother's thighs and god only knows what else.
One term which I picked up a few years ago from this board was "She's been Daffy-Waffed.It means a pretty yong woman who has been knocked senseless or knocked silly from some action.I think it fits Spanky's mother to the t.
I agree with Dr.Doug and Stooges,she is thrown down to the stage floor and not making a conscience effort to squat on stage to hide from the audience.Also when she is behind the prop she is sitting arse on heels.
I'd like to say I read all the posts all over the net on this subject over the past couple of years and I can't believe the amount of posters who refer to Spanky's mother's attributes and make alot more of them then meets the eye.Her shapely rip derrerriere or what a great rack she has or her chisilied legs.I must be missing something here? If Spanky's mom was in a squatting position as Stooges said the audience would have a great look at "her creamy white thighs". Only kidding there guys.
This is way off topic for this post ,it's been totally dead here for months but i've been busy researching data and talking to people and reading all posts from all boards.I'm very interested in what people think and love to read all the opinion polls the problem is no one gives reasons they just post their opinion. It seems the general opinion of fans of "Beginner's Luck" is the person they want to play the role of Spanky's mother is a Pretty ,blue eyed blonde,whose ancestry comes from nothern europe.They want this girl to be between 30-40 in age but really 30-35 would be perfect.They want the character to be well educated,sophisicated,intelligent and well dressed.Some suprize sugrstions,Shirley Jones for a 1970 remake comming from her Partridge family success.Shelly Long for an early 80's remake in her Diane Chamber's role gets some nods.One person made a suggestion for the late 1990's and most people were not impressed at all.The Actress was Kristy Swanson and most people say she usually plays a dim witted bimbo type and have no interest in her in a Spanky's mother role at all.But some folks pointed out her role in " Eight heads in a duffule bag" and to be honest in this role Kristy meets all the criteria.She has he hair up and she is usually wearing a suit.I was very suprised as well as all the guys who checked her out in that film.
shareYes Ralph you went off topic with that one but you really brought out all the general information on what people are looking for in a woman for a remake of this classic.I too was surpized with the name Kristy Swanson after seeing her in "Buffy the vampire slayer" or " Chase" but you are correct with 8 heads she certainly pulls everything together for a perfect Spanky's mother figure.Another point you certainly hit the nail on the head with people adding to Kitty Kelly's attributes and raving about them.She certainly doesn't have a great rack and chilsiled legs and I think her butt is a bit fat.

The second, since we are picking new "moms" how about Sandra Lee. She was on the cover of Parade magazine a few Sundays ago. Blonde, perfect age and a great body, plus she can cook!!
Sandra Lee is a great choice !!! Very beautiful woman with a nice body.When you mentioned a doctored photo I thought of something that happened a few yrs ago.I watched a film called "One fine day" with Michelle Pheiffer" I never thought of her as a good " BL " candidate but watching that movie where she is the correct age,is a single mom raising a son whose the correct age for the Spanky role.I mentioned this to someone and they sent me a large bunch of still photos from the movie.I had someone do a photoshop job and one photo was sent to the old yahoo group with Michelle's head on the stagprop with Spanky looking on.The person who sent me the photos then sent a large group of doctored shots of Michelle in the "BL" action.I would have never picked Michele Pheiffer as a good choice until I saw that film.
shareI remember the doctored photo of Michelle in the old yahoo group,there is a original non doctored shot in the modern yahoo group which is the photo that the old one was taken.One of my favortie shots of an actress behind the Beginner's luck stage prop.There are a number of really good ones in the yahoo group photo like Julia Louise Dreyfuss and Markie Post> I wish you could send the Michele one to the new group as it was one of the best ones I ever saw.

Yes I put the Michelle photo into the Yahoo group but unfortunately lost the photos that were doctored.I did ask the person who sent them to me to resend them but no luck.I also had in the same file I had many shots of the Fox news girl Martha Mac Callum,some right of the TV and others that were doctored in the "BL" style I think the best "BL" copy was Martha behind the prop but it's gone now sorry!
I remember the Michelle photo too.Sorry no one kept it as it was a good one.Regarding Martha Maccallum,I remember some yrs back seeing a ton of stuff where she is done with photoshop in all types of things the reason I was told about it there was one of her done as Spanky's mother from behind the prop.I have to say it think it's the best looking picture of that stuff and looks real.I wonder if it the same one you saw? The batch I saw had a bunch of photos of Martha's head on a nude body and they really looked like it was a real pic.There was another with Martha and Juliet Huddey's heads on the bodies of two oesrtichs bodies standing in a field it wass pure bely laffs as it was soooooo good.
