I know there has been no activity here in about a month when we had a real nice topic come up and all of a sudden everything just stops.We had many posters comming in with their stories it was really great hearing this stuff and then nothing at all!

that's a good question! That's the way this board has been for a real long time.The last major posting,the roll call,was one of the best.It brought most of the old regulars in and also some new names as well.it brought these guys to tell their story of how old they were when they first watched BL on TV and their experiances as a young kid and BL.I was very surprized that so many people came forward with their tales and were so open about their experiances.
But away from that one i've noticed this board has been this was for yrs. a few good posts or some activity and this it shuts down and goes silent.
Yes,I'm also upset that this roll call post seemed to stop but I was really interested in the Dr.Charles White study and the Triggs article and would have loved to see more talk on both these topics as i would have loved to learn more about them and what they said in reference to "Beginner's Luck".
I think we all lead busy life's and when we find the time to write about Beginner's luck it is we want to share something.I do miss things when they slow down on the board to and wish we all picked up writing more stories. Myself included

shareAgreed.I thought it was the best post on this board that I can remember.I was so taken by the stories the guys told about being a little kid and first starting to come of age with women that I told them to a buch of friends of mine and they had some belly laughs over them.The Regina Cantwell stories that mark told were so great any guy would remember back in their own lives for similar stories and the mother who's kid had no friends and the guys told that her kid should recite setting her up for a "beginner's Luck" episode herself were the best and I wish there were many more.
shareI agree that roll call posting was one of the best if not the best as it was so interesting with all these guys telling their stories.The story of Mary Lenihan comming home and taking off her dress and walking into the living where unbeknownst to her two young boys were sitting and her jumping back trying to cover herself up and then trying to hide behind the chair struck me as it is so very real and probably happened to most kids at a friend's house.The story of Regina Cantwell walking into a room to be introduced to a group of cub scouts and them mentally undressing her is classic.It seems if a kid is an IN kid and his mother is a goddess no one with admit to playing games with her,but if a kid is a nerd or geek and his mother is a little better than average then she will get the works from the boys.Again if she is a widow or a divorcee she will attract even more attention as she is seen more vulnerable than other women.Great job jaywer -really great post and great responses from the guys.
share In talking with friends over the weekend about this subject in general something was mentioned that was not brought up on this board regarding why it seems it was single moms over married ones.The single mother had to keep more intune with the fashion world,back in our day by the time we were ten or so the mini-skirt had dawned not only for teenagers but also for the mainstream.Single moms didn't want to look like fuddyduddies so they wore shorter dresses and showed more leg.These girls were looking to draw attention from men and short skirts usually did the job.Another factor was these girls had to stay in shape to attract men and could not allow themselves to go.So it was one of the reasons these women could wear bikinis when that came into the mainstream.
As some mentioned no one could dare go after the mother of an "in" kid so therefore the losers and the loners had their moms made targets of.
Does anyone agree with this or disagree with these ideas?
In general ,Steve,you are correct.I can remember friends of mine saying "wow look at these pretty young mommies " more than just a few times.Yes the single girl who was a mom and needed a man did dress sexier and was aware that she had to keep herself in better shape.
I honestly think one main reason that single moms are preferred over married ones is there is a sense they are unprotected and vunerable -there is non man there to punch you in the nose if you touch his woman.
