A few months ago one of the active posters from this board called me and said if you look at the main page of this board there is a section that lists plot keywords they had 21 plot keywords there and most really weren't that good. Myself, Bigboy and stooges decided we would each add about 100 great plot keywords. As one could imagine we came up with many of the same ones, But we were able to increase that number of plot keywords to 87.

Then we did trivia and we increased that number from 2 to 69 .Other people joined to give some trivia points.

We then added 4 goofs to it

finally we added some quotes. Some were exact others we added a little to and some were completely made up.The made up ones were not accepted.

We'd like to know what you guys think of it?

It's pretty good overall .

Regarding the Trivia most of it came from our discussions on this board some thou I never heard of. But I really liked it.

Regarding the plot keywords Some were duplicates or real close you could tell that more than one person was involved with it.

Regarding goofs - very good dead on

Regarding quotes- good but there were mistakes or errors as some lines seemed to be added on some.

Well to honest with you Steve we had done a lot of work on the quotes we did two scenes which weren't even in the short. They were really good . The first was the scene before Spanky is reciting to the ladies. It's the mother going to the theater and meeting the MC to arrange Spanky to preform at the next amateur show. Both get along very well and there is nothing but smiles and laughter as she butters him up. We did another scene that was not in the short too and we added lines to almost all the others .Honestly it was pretty good stuff but they wouldn't allow most of it to be put in.

I'll bet you guys added a few lines in the scene where Spanky is on stage and the mother starts to get nutty and starts off saying "They're laughing at him".

Anyway I'd love to hear move of this stuff and I wish they added they stuff you spoke of and all the extra lines and extra scenes.

Hi Steve

Yes we did add to that scene 3 lines from the mother to the MC and 3 from the MC to the mother. Once again non of this was allowed but I can't blame them they want everything very very accurate . You can understand their point of view.

The other scene we added that wasn't there is just before they leave the house to go to the theater . The mom bantering with grandma the mother telling Spanky he would be great and everyone is going to love him . This was pretty good too I now wish in 1935 they had put these scenes into the original and all the lines we added ;then again it would run for 35-40 minutes and would start to loose the whole idea of a short. Ya kno what I mean Steve ?

I'd love to have seen the stuff you guys did actually put into the original just to see it a few times. But I know it would cause a riot that someone would be changing a classic and therefore ruining it.

Hi guys I added some stuff when I saw what they were doing.

One of the scenes that you guys should have added would be the car ride home ,Spanky-Grandma-Mom all in one car

or another scenario the MC drives the mother home -could you imagine that one !

I thought about this and if there was a way we could save this stuff and all posters could add to it or agree with it or disagree with it.

Agreed JT it would be excellent if we could see this stuff and everyone could jump in and add their 2cents. We are limited to what the people who run the board allow.

Your dead on with those the car ride home grandma driving and still chuckling to herself ,Spanky whose helmet is still spinning and Spanky's mother ,whose wearing her coat and carrying her torn dress thinking of how she could sew it back together.

The other one with the MC driving is great - he could be laughing at her ,she could still be frozen and he's coping a feel or running his hand on her thighs or he's going to take her to some parking area and really do to her as he's been doing all nite!!!
