I don't think the pigs talked at all so how could they do that? What would they have done-oinked?

Well if they had testified, Barnaby would have gotten a good defense lawyer who would state that since they didn't actually witness Barnaby abducting Elmer, their testimony would not be admissable :D
I also like when Bo Peep testified that when they got home, the hat and fiddle were already there. Had she been planning to move in with Tom Tom, since I assume she meant his home. Of course she could have been his alibi which might have gotten him off the hook :D
When a movie is a entertaining as this one is, one doesn't really notice details like these, unless one watches it a few hundred times.
