Stannie was the one that screwed up Santa's order. Ollie didn't take the order, he didn't need to get fired too.

shareI don't know either. What I don't understand is how he could just let go of two obviously brilliant engineers and craftsmen. It took a lot of skill and hard work to put together those 100 six-foot high wooden soldiers. I guess Ollie was lumped into it for the sake of the story---he would now have no way of asking the Toymaster for an advance.

They toymaker himself didn't notice how absurd the soldiers were, so he can't blame Ollie for not knowing something was wrong. lol
shareWell, they were a team so he treated them as one. I wonder if he rehired them after the soldiers saved Toyland.
