Why did the toymaker fire both of them?

Stannie was the one that screwed up Santa's order. Ollie didn't take the order, he didn't need to get fired too.

I don't know either. What I don't understand is how he could just let go of two obviously brilliant engineers and craftsmen. It took a lot of skill and hard work to put together those 100 six-foot high wooden soldiers. I guess Ollie was lumped into it for the sake of the story---he would now have no way of asking the Toymaster for an advance.

Well to be fair, Ollie really should have noticed how absurd Stannie's version of the order was, lol.

They toymaker himself didn't notice how absurd the soldiers were, so he can't blame Ollie for not knowing something was wrong. lol

reply

Well, they were a team so he treated them as one. I wonder if he rehired them after the soldiers saved Toyland.
