'Aren't You Gonna Ask Him About the Money for the Mortgage?'

"WHAT'S THAT????", says the anal-retentive Toymaker.

"Just skip it!", says Ollie Dee.

Stop it right there! I would like to make one little change. Ollie should have stood his ground, and before leaving asked the Toymaker for some mortgage money, explaining that Barnaby was at the back of it. I am sure the Toymaker, who was in capitalistic competition with Barnaby would have understood. Ollie would have gotten the cash, Barnaby would have made out his receipt, Bo-Peep wouldn't have had to marry Barnaby, and the Toymaker, in a nasty move, would have stuck Barnaby with the the bill to the damage to the toy factory! And they would've all lived happily ever after!

Look, a few things:
1. The toymaker isn't anal retentive. Where did you get that from?
2. Because Ollie and Stan just wrecked the shop with the wooden soldier, do you think the Toymaker is going to give Ollie money for the mortgage?
3. Reading again your whole thing, where was he in capitalistic competition with Barnaby?
4. I think Ollie was just lying about the Toymaker and him being just like that. He was trying to cheer his mother up. You can see how the Toymaker isn't interested in what Ollie wanted to tell him.
