Amy

There's a character, Amy, who lives in the same building as Ruby (Jean Harlow). She comes to Ruby's apartment and "borrows" a glass full of gin. Who is she? I didn't see anyone named Amy in the cast listing - even the uncredited actors.

There are a number of bit players in this film who aren't credited anywhere - not on IMDB, not even the exhaustive AFI film catalogs. Who, for example, is the girl who steps out and threatens to punch the matron in the mouth so the matron will bring her in and thus Ruby and company can get away? Who is the fat girl in prison (one of the very few truly heavy people you'll see in movies of this period.) It's hard to believe MGM didn't keep track of who played these small roles with lines given one can often find credits for people who just played extras in films.

I was going to ask this in another post. I sould swaer that the woman borrowing the gin is Barbara Stanwyck. I turned on TCM the other day and caught the flick right in the middle of that scene and I'm saying, "That's Stanwyck!" (I'm a big fan). But, I knew she didn't have a credit as this was in 1933 and her star was on the rise already (Babyface, etc.) so, why would she have an uncredited part. Anyone else know?
