Is that Barbara Stanwyck at the beginning?

I asked this in another post. I could swaer that the woman borrowing the gin in the beginning of this film is Barbara Stanwyck. I turned on TCM the other day and caught the flick right in the middle of that scene and I'm saying, "That's Stanwyck!" (I'm a big fan). But, I knew she didn't have a credit as this was in 1933 and her star was on the rise already (Babyface, etc.) so, why would she have an uncredited part. Anyone else know if this is her?

I really thought it was her, too. But I think it's just someone who really really looks like her...

I'm pretty sure that is her! It looks exactly like her, she has the same voice, and something about her mouth when she talks is exactly like Barbara. I have no doubt in my mind that's her. Maybe they made a mistake with the credits or she didn't want the credit because it didn't get very good reviews from critics?

It's not Stanwyck. I caught the resemblance as well, but it's just a resemblance. Stanwyck had been doing leads in films for almost four years and would certainly not have done a bit like this at the time, especially for a different studio than the one she was contracted to.

This actress didn't sound anything like Stanwyck. There IS a resemblance though.

Not Stanwyck. There's a slight resemblance in the face but the voice is a little too husky for a 1933 Barbara.
