Who sang the title song?

Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown's title song is sung twice in the film: when Clark Gable plays it on a record while he and Jean Harlow are in his apartment, and later in the reformatory where Harlow plays and talk-sings it on the rec room piano. Who made the record of the song used in its first appearance? My guess is Shirley Ross because the voice sounds like her performance of the Rodgers and Hart song "The Bad in Every Man" in "Manhattan Melodrama." But neither this site nor the American Film Institute list a singer for this film.
