I was watching this movie for a 100th time today when I noticed a hanging rope in the upper right corner, at the very end when they are throwing fruit at Mrs. Teasdale. Anyone notice? Now I'll never look at this movie the same way. XD
shareWatched it just now after reading ur comment and you are right. Not quite sure whether it was a noose or just some rope but clearly one piece of fruit actually hits it. Wonder if it was meant to be significant or not but I think it was just a quirky piece of rope that no one noticed or cared about. Interested if anyone else knows something too.

That rope is hanging there because pinky was using it to try to pull the vase off Rufus's head with it. You can see the rope around his neck after they blow the vase up.
It's not a rope, it's a flamingo. The rope thing was an urban myth.
