shareThey never really showed how they got any of the other little trinkets they stole; especially the ones they took from each other. Focusing the camera on the purse from the time Mariette sits in the box lets us know Lily and Gaston had their eyes on that particular target. Not seeing how they actually swiped it shows us how good they really are at their chosen 'professions'.
