I'd only agree with about half of your 6 following films... but Trouble in Paradise is indeed the best!
sharePerhaps it is the best-made of 1932, with brilliant opening credits! But, I didn't care for the story itself. Personally, I think GRAND HOTEL is probably the best of 1932. I give this a 7 while GH gets an 8 from me, for being a more profound, touching film.

I wouldn't say it's the best Lubitsch picture of 1932, that honour going to ONE HOUR WITH YOU.
But it's still pretty damn terrific.

Really? ONE HOUR WITH YOU better than TROUBLE IN PARADISE? I really can't see that.
Actually, I consider TROUBLE IN PARADISE to be Lubitsch's best, the best film of its year, and probably the best film of the 1930's.
Even from 1932, I prefer several films to ONE HOUR WITH YOU: TROUBLE (of course), HORSE FEATHERS, JEWEL ROBBERY, LOVE ME TONIGHT, THE PHANTOM OF CRESTWOOD, GUILTY AS HELL, I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A CHAIN GANG, probably even MILLION DOLLAR LEGS. ONE HOUR WITH YOU has some cute stuff in it, but also several stretches of tedium, IMO.
In fact, I'd also include THE OLD DARK HOUSE, THE MOUTHPIECE, and ONE WAY PASSAGE in that list above ONE HOUR WITH YOU.
I'm (not) sorry to contradict you: Grand Hotel is better.

Trouble in Paradise definitely the best film of 1932. Horse Feathers is good fun. Grand Hotel is okay. The Old Dark House is quite strange but amusing. None of those films come closevto the perfection of Trouble in Paradise though.
