Another remake in the works
It was just announced that Universal plans to remake Scarface again. I can't believe it and I'm shocked. We have this one and we have the 80's version, which are both great. Now they should leave it alone.

shareIt wasn't just announced, they've been planning it for a number of years now an occasionally we get some news. So far: we know that the story will take place in LA and will focus on Mexican drug cartels.
But may I ask: why is it that you are shocked to hear that another remake is in the works when you yourself like the 80's remake? Why should they leave it alone now while Brian DePalma got a free pass?

Today they mostly just remake for profit's rather than because the story can still be told.
For instance this version was illegal booze while the 1983 version was cocaine.
