Just saw it last night

I saw this movie last night for the first time ever. I got it from Netflix, but I had had it in my quece for several months, but it was always with a very long wait. I had actually been aware of it since fall, 1982 when I was in ninth grade and my English I class had read it. After that I kind of wanted to see the movie, but could not find it on video cassette and it never came on TV. I then liked it all right last night, though I do not really want to see it again and I liked the short story better.

I actually like the movie more than the original short story, mainly because of Fay Wray. It's one of my favorite films, and I hosted a presentation about it at my Imaginative Cinema Society film club in Baltimore. The film was produced at the same time as "King Kong", using the same jungle sets, and many of the same actors and production personnel. "The Most Dangerous Game" had fewer special effects, so they were able to release it in 1932, several months before "Kong" was released in 1933.
