Kay Francis & David Manners
They have loads of chemistry but Francis's character is a friggin' doormat for her husband. She's a second generation 'CEO' and she lets him do whatever he pleases with her money? And she 'loves' him, he's 'sweet' and other compliments throughout the movie. He's a dirtbag womanizer in that tuxedo wearing 1930s way. Of course, it's worth seeing as a pre code but it's almost like pre suffragette. But Manners (so handsome) and Francis make it worth while.
