shareWould you describe the original ending and also the non-original ending? Thanks.
well, apparently it has a happy ending, that couldn't be more of a contrast from the version i saw, and by the way, at least on the version of this i got, there seems to be a rough cut about 7 minutes into the movie as they are discussing what they will go about doing first, then another cut 26 minutes and 37 into the running time, speaking of tcm here, that's a channel i miss, i can't believe i once had a channel that aired classic movies 24/7, they took it off the air where i live, the opening shots are some of the weirdest camera work i've seen in a movie, the scene with the dancing dolls looked like a horror movie, on the subject of horror movie, notice how one actor in this speaks like bela lugosi. the dialogue sounds very out of place for this time like "you're an ass", meanwhile the women have that 1920s appearance which would make sense i guess, i've never seen people eat spaghetti π with their hands before, and never heard a line like "i know i shall have awful gas pains in the morning as a result of this", another memorable line: "tomorrow i will get you drunk, and i will take out your liver, and put in a good italian one.". i wonder what happened to all the envelops βοΈ, if he found them after... you know, don't wanna spoil anything, would be a mighty big spoiler if i finished the sentence. i was moved by this story, and they told it in a reasonable running time of 78 minutes, imagine how long a remake of this would run... this is the only time i've heard the song st. lucia in another language.

you were my light on earth,
as im forgotten and left in dirt,
drifting through as stranger,
nowhere to turn any places,
out in the cold,
you reached right in my soul,
but now youve gone with your light seeker,
and this road couldnt be any bleaker.
i assume she lived.
