'oh my bashful boy'

Does anyone know exactly what Jean Harlow said to James Cagney, as she sat on his lap (in the scene right before he gets the news of Nails Nathan's death by horse). She says something, like..."now you say __??___(unclear), you know what that means? Then she pulls him close to her and says, "oh my bashful boy". This has been driving me crazy for years!

What she actually says at that point is - 'Now you stay put, if you know what that means', then 'Oh my bashful boy'.
