It's well known that Universal filmed two versions of 1931's Dracula simultaneously. The English crew working all the day, the Spanish crew working all night. What other films, if any, were filmed this way? I gather it wasn't too common, but were there others?
shareWell I know that The Message (1976) produced and directed by Moustapha Akkad actually had two groups for English version and Arabic one for the film.
Laurel and Hardy did multiple language takes for some of their comedy shorts (many alternative language ones are lost now).
Some films from 1930's also had different language versions,I don't know maybe dubbing wasn't easy or cheap back then !
The Blue Angel (Der blaue Engel, 1930), The Three from the Filling Station (1930), Murder! and Mary (1930/1931) and The Big House (1930).
