Good film for a film club?

Someone recommended this for my film club, but I haven't seen it. The club is for girls aged 11+ and my mission is to introduce them to classic movies, preferably fast paced and not "boring". Do you think it would appeal to them and hold their attention?

Last film watched: Runaway Jury

Definitely. Some of them might be put off by the fact that it's a silent film, but it has plenty of slapstick humor, and, at 87 minutes long, is a lighthearted breeze.

I agree.
City Lights is masterpiece. I guess almost everyone loves it.

Another suggestion if you don't mind: The apartment (Billy Wilder, 1960)
It's easy to watch, but not a flick. I love it. First classic I ever saw, too.

Big time, this film one of the best ever made, the silent theater at his best.
in my opinion this is the best Chaplin film with The Gold Rush, The Kid and The Great Dictator. but this is the best :)
