Made in California?

IMDB says the film was made in California, and I don't doubt that they are right, but did anyone notice that the car the rich man gave him was right-hand drive?

Here is something I found regarding this:

(Pictured) A 1925 Rolls Royce Twenty convertible. Being a Twenty and having a right hand drive it is a car shipped over to the United States from the UK Derby factory rather than a Springfield product ( Springfield only produced Ghosts till 1926 and later Phantom I's)).Curiously , it was not unusual for American Customers to prefer the genuine UK cars.It is also possible that this was one of Chaplin's personal cars so if anyone knows more details...
