Anyone have any family fight in the war?

My great grandfather's brother, a soldier in the American Expeditionary Force, was killed in the Second Battle of the Marne, the Battle of Château-Thierry specifically. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Ch%C3%A2teau-Thierry_%281918%29. He has a monument at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Belleau, France. http://www.abmc.gov/images/am5.jpg

I don't know. I think my mother mentioned a relative like a great uncle of hers who was a pilot in WWII, and he was shot down but his prayer book, or some small holy book she has now, was sent back to America. But I don't think she's ever been able to trace the family tree back enough to find out if anybody served in the first war.

Two I on my Mothers side my great Grandfather fought in the battle of the Somme with the english, came back a differant, when you fight in a war like that you never ever want to witness somethinng like that.

As for the the second one, he was a great uncle on my Dads side, He fought in the the 1918 Spring Offensive, On the German Side.

My grandfather served with the seaforth Highlanders in France. I don't have a record of his service (ie. where he fought) but I have his medals at home.
He died in 1989, aged 92.

My great-grandfather was a polish immigrant to america. He joined the army and went to fight the hun at the argonne. Must have been special for him to fight the old oppressor and indirectly free his homeland.

I'm of Serbian ancestry, so I'd assume so.

My Great Grandfather fought in World War One. He lied about his age and joined up at 16 right at the beginning of the war. After the war he didn't like to talk about it and just said he was a PT instructor after he died my uncle did some research as he was doing a family tree and found out he was actually in the tank core.

My Grandfather was a Sargeant in the British army in North Africa I don't know anything of what he actually did out there he also didn't like to talk about it all I have are photographs of him when he was there.

My grandfather served in the US Army in the war and his brother, who was in the Marine Corps prior to WWI, fought at Belleau Wood.

My great grandfather on my mother's side fought in the first World War, along with another great great grandfather. Although I'm quite sure the majority of my family in that generation did, as being an Englishman in your 20s was a guaranteed drafting to the front.

My dad's mother's grandfather also fought, have a picture of him with his sniper-rifle and uniform.

Terrible.

Contrary to popular belief, it is impossible to overdose on marijuana... though many have tried.

I would think so. I can only confirm one maternal great grandfather, of whom I saw a picture in his Feldrock (Imperial German Uniform).
