I'm trying to watch it right now but the score is so cheesy and distracting I can't fully enjoy the film because of it. What a shame.
shareWhat I sometimes do in that case is mute the audio and put on some good jazz, contemporary classical music and or a great Joe Hisaishi filmscore. Movie is awesome. enjoy!

I just saw The Cameraman for the first time a few days ago and was really impressed.
I've enjoyed other Keaton movies before, but this one . . . wow.
But the fake, "almost" versions of Take Me Out to the Ballgame, Jaws theme (pool scene), and a few others that I can't think of right now, had me grinding my teeth! Just enough notes off from original well-known tunes to not have to pay royalties.
Unprofessional and annoying, derivative and corny, it's certainly not up to the level of the quality of this really great film.
(OK, "Jaws" during the naked pool scene made me smile.)
