The Manga Films edition for Spain is Region 2. It's a 2-DVD5 version with good quality. Switchable spanish subtitles. You can find it here:

Not sure about the Spanish version but its not a problem getting it. I just got my copy from HMV.com.au in Australia. It's PAL so you need a multiregion set up able to convert PAL to NTSC, or you can play it on a computer which I'm doing, by using one of my 5 regon code changes. I have a multiregion DVD player, but my older TV can't take the signal, so one more reason for getting a digital TV.

Cost $36 US, and came fairly quickly. Ironically it is the Coppola sponsored restoration with the Carmine Coppola score that F. Coppola is tying up with copyrights. So obviously Australia has a loophole in their copyright laws allowing this. The image is fairly clean given the amount of footage that had to be restored, and the score is wonderful. It's three hours and 45 minutes, so there is some major editing over the 5 hour restoration showing, but worth it just to see this much. Gance was a genius and this makes me very hungry to see more of his work, hopefully a with a good art house distributor, like Criterion, doing a box set.
