Just got a copy of the 5 hour version

On the web I found the five hour 1983 tv edit of napoleon, which has everything except about 20 minutes of missing footage and NO POLYVISION. It only used the center screen, which still works but loses much of its power. Plus, it has a FAR better image quality than Coppola's inferior cut. I burned it to a DVD and I now have arguably the 2nd best version of Napoleon, behind the newst one which is screening this year!

So, any way for others to get hold of a copy of this?

BladeRunner, was it you would made the torrent I've just found? If so, thank you so much. It obviously doesn't beat seeing it at a screening on proper film, but viewing it on my computer is good enough for me.

I have faith that as long as I have the whole rest of my life to badger movie theatres with phone calls begging them to show Napoleon one way or another (I'm only 22), I will, one day, see it the way it was meant to be seen anyhow...

I'm afraid we might have to wait until he dies. :/ Doesn't sound like anything will change his mind, because his stance isn't based on good sense. Sad to say because the man is such an amazing director, but there it is.
