Any Facts?!?!


Hey, I'm doing a history report on THE JAZZ SINGER and It's due tommarrow. Well, I haven't started it yet and I really need help. If anyone knows anything about this film, It'd relly help me out.

Wrong. Sound existed in films as early as 1895.

THE JAZZ SINGER's big break was that it was the first feature to make sound on film popular, while showing that it was economically viable. I'm not going to write your report for you (nor do I think you should have put it off until the last minute), but you should do some research by searching on google or checking out www.widescreenmuseum.com and looking at their section about the Vitaphone

Hi...i'm doing a history report on entertainment in the 20's. So far all i know is the it featured a white guy with his face painted black playing a jewish black kid who defied his father by becoming a jazz singer. Have fun with your project!(ya right)
