Question about 1970 restored version

Does anybody know if the 1970 restored version put out by Republic Home Video is restored to how it originally looked when it was first released or was it monkeyed around with to make it more vieweable for a contemporary audience ? It has a sepia tone look to it and some frames look like they've been colorized. I've seen silent films before where some scenes were tinted but I've just never seen anything quite like this before and the only other version I ever saw of this film was straight black and white.

Original prints were entirely sepia-toned, except for the night scenes which were tinted blue.
