Carl Davis DVD?

Having grown up with this superb film being accompanied by the 1987 Carl Davis score, I find it strange that this version (the definitive as many of my friends and colleagues agree) is not out on DVD. Does anyone know if there are any plans for its release? Or if you can sign a petition online to get it released?
I actually think the Robert Israel score is pretty bad. I know it evokes the mood of the 1920s when the film was made by the Davis version evoked the spirit of the Civil War-period and added to the film's beauty.
I haven't heard the Joe Hisaishi one yet though. Is that any good?

Both versions are now available in England. If You can play Region 2 DVDs, You can order them at Amazon.uk. The Carl Davis verson is included in "The Buster Keaton Chronicles" set and Joe Hisaishi´s music is on the 2 DVD set of "The General". For me Hisaishi´s music is the best and the picture-quality of the 2 DVD set is incredible
