Blu-Ray Disc Has A Huge Defect

while i am a big movie buff the blu-ray disc of THE GENERAL is the first time
i've sat thru the entire film. the image quality is truely stellar except for
one scene. say half way thru the film the 2 Union generals are discussing what
to do with the engine. on the right side of the print there is a great deal
of image damage with white blotches. its only for a few seconds but it ruins
the joy of watching what is otherwise the best dvd ever of a silent film.

i simply can not believe with all the digital technology available today
they couldn't have greatly lessened if not totally eliminated the white
blotches.

I watched it yesterday on bluray with my new HD 32 inch and it blew me away!!

It was as if I saw the movie for the first time for REAL (i've seen it many times)

BUSTER ON HD!!!!!
Every decade needs its CCC: Cameron Canonworthy Classic.

It looks really really good compared to other silent film BD releases like City Girl or Sunrise. Why are you annoyed by few seconds of damaged print? You're lucky it's just few seconds.

I just got The General Blu-ray from Best Buy for $9.99. For that price, I can handle a few seconds of damage...
