I have been wondering how Buster Keaton got the chain off his leg, when he was climbing on his train, right after he disconnected the cannon from his train??? One moment he has a chain on his leg, and the next, he is walking on top of the train?

I liked this movie, but I agree there are several other Keaton movies I prefer over The General.

The chain can't have been connected and he must have shaken it off.
