Am I just imagining it...

...or is there a version out there which has a different take of the scene in which Annabelle gets drenched at the water tower?

I recall, and not vaguely, seeing the film - it might have been the version with the Robert Israel score - at school in 1995. I say, not vaguely, as the film made a huge impression on my 12 year old self and sparked my interest in films of the silent era.

However... Our teacher pointed out to us as we watched, that Marion Mack did not know that she was about to get drenched in water, and I am sure that in this scene she slaps Buster Keaton right after the deluge. However, I just watched the latest release - with the new score by Joe Hishaishi, and there was no slap in the scene.

Did I just imagine this alternate take? Or can anyone else shed some light on this?
