I constantly picture Ewan McGregor and Leelee Sobieski when I watch this movie. They look so much like the original actors.
If this movie is ever remade, they should try to get those two hired on.
i thought the girl looked a lot like jennifer lawrence in certain scenes, but i also thought of leelee sobieski too

shareI can see Leelee but not so much with Ewan. But for them in a remake - I don't think it would work. First of all they are too old. Leelee is about 32 and Ewan about 44. Brigitte Helm was about 19-20 and Gustav Frohlich about 24 when Metropolis was shot. If someone ever did a remake (it had better be great or forget it) I would think they would go with relative unknowns who are in their low 20's. Better that way. A studio would not have less $$ on the actors and more on the GOOD SCRIPT and technicals. They could launch a number of big careers that way if they do it right.
shareI am not familiar with Leelee Sobieski, but i looked her up and they do look very similar. I'm not seeing the Ewan McGregor resemblance though.
