I was wondering the same thing after reading that comment about his height. After clicking on several of the female co-stars in his other films I found that everyone I checked was listed at 5'6", hardly a towering height for a woman playing opposite a 5'11" man. Several of his earlier performances were with Beverly Bayne whose height is not listed. Since she was Bushman's wife I doubt that she would have been disproportionately taller. The mystery remains unsolved.

No he's listed several times that I found at either 5'11" or 6 foot. That IMDb trivia about him standing on boxes to appear taller sounds like bunk- one anecdote I found about the 1925 Ben-Hur said that Bushman at times had to stand in holes when filmed next to the much smaller Novarro (5'6") so they would appear more closely matched in height.
