Which was nice!
I was rummaging through my attic the other day, and I found the original uncut version of Greed, which was nice!

shareAs in the original, thought to be lost, nearly ten hour long version? Or...? Because if so the AFI may like to hear from you. Though I thought all the lost scenes had been destroyed...
shareLOL, just like that Argentinian dude who found the lost footage of Metropolis. Well that's two lost classics soon to be restored. Now if I check my basement, maybe I'll get lucky and find a full copy of Able Gance's Napoleon!
Cross your fingers everyone!
I'm a bit of a sap when it comes to this, but that was a joke wasn't it? I mean, even the four hour cut being found would be amazing. Some rumor evidently spread many years ago that Mussolini had a long cut. Anyway, just recently I met the two Argentenians who found the almost complete copy of METROPOLIS. Being a foaming-at-the-mouth fan, I think I scared them when I bombarded them for a picture, cinegasming over how wonderful it was to meet the people who made the discovery.
Anyway, I really wish the original GREED was available...or even a DVD copy of the reconstruction would be nice
