That's too bad. Sherlock Jr is an amazing accomplishment, and is never boring to watch. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to see too many Buster Keaton films, but from what I have seen, they all deserve to be on the top 250.

It isn't actually a short though. It was released as a feature and is listed as such both in Maltin's book and in David Robinson's Buster Keaton (1969). I know the rule know is supposedly "<50m = a short", but I don't agree. Anyway, if anyone says that it is a short I'm afraid I'll have to put my hands over my ears because it isn't leaving my Top 100. I love Buster.Want to swap movies? MYRNA LOY films wanted.
I can see why people would say it's a short but the 50 Minute rule seems arbitrary.
The American Film Institute listed it as one of the 100 funniest films and Entertainment Weekly put it in it's book of the 100 Greatest Films. Both lists excluded short flims.
My opinion: Why be sticklers! Give this brilliant film all the accolades possible.
