Are way too intense. Everyone's saying this movie would make you dwell in insanity and it's affect would last for months, not for kids etc, you would never understand who is more crazy etc. Not criticizing, haven't seen it yet. Just 3000 votes. Is this movie actually good and deserves a place im top 250, because the votes are too less.

But it is one of the essential horror movies. So I guess some people might exaggerate but I'm sure there are reasons why it's a beloved classic.

It's good, but the reviews are definitely exaggerated. I liked the themes and whatnot, but I couldn't see myself going crazy over this, nor could I see this being that bad for kids. I watched stuff ten times worse than this as a child, but was told "it's just a guy in a costume. It isn't real." I think people are just being easily triggered as usual.
