Apparently the Democratic Party is impressed with her and see her as a potential candidate for 2028. I guess we'll see, I don't think she would do well and it would seem to me that a Newsom/Whitmer ticked is more likely.

Because anyone with a real brain simply can't, in good conscience, follow the Democrats on their journey to the far left. I know, I used to be one. I didn't leave the Democratic party, the Democratic party has left me. I'm 67, and when I was a young man, there were a lot of conservative Democrats, but they're dying off and what's left is people like AOC and Kamala Harris.

The Democrats won't run another woman in 2028. They've already tried Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. They won again with a white male in 2020 but he was a doddering old fool. If they don't go white male in 2028, they're complete idiots.

The fires would have started regardless of who was in charge. Drought conditions, hurricane-force winds, no stopping that.
BUT.... reservoirs were empty. Who is to blame for those restoration projects not getting off the ground? More controlled burning would have helped also. (On non-windy days of course). But environmentalists hate that. Think of the pollution! (1/1000th of what they have endured through these fires!). Pay me now, or pay me later!
The answer is simple: Desalination plants. You're sitting on one of the largest frigging water sources in the world! And they have no water. HUH? Because the environmentalists in Newsom's pocket block those projects too.
I can agree that catering to environmentalists and dooms day concepts like global warming are negatives for Newsom.
