Over the last year or so Dua Lipa definitely took up the pop star throne from every other female artist including Ariana, Taylor, Billie Eilish, etc. She made a bigger and more successful impact than them by a good margin with her latest album. Dua Lipa is the future and the pop star to beat right now. No other is on her level.

She is a pop artist, doesn't really matters. She no doubt writes but also has a team writing stuff for her. That's how it goes she is the star in the end.

She has a very nice voice, a bit deeper than your typical popstar, but it sounds great. Her music is consistently great thus far.
Personally the amount of songs she's made that I enjoy already far exceeds many older popstars who've been around for a long time. When it comes to the big Female solo artists (Madonna, Spears, Aguliera, Rihanna, Gaga, Grande, Swift, Adele, Beyonce, Shakira and so on) I normally enjoy a song here or there, typically under 5 songs total for each singer, with some maybe pushing up around 7. Looking at Dua's two album track lists I really enjoy 11 songs altogether (then when you add in songs not on her albums like One Kiss, No Lie & Cold Heart it takes it up to 14). The only other singer I like nearly that total of songs by is Katy Perry, but that's spread across 6 albums vs Dua's 2.
Physically she's leagues ahead of most popstars. Katy Perry was hot but she always had a plain jane face (nice looking but very generic), her breasts carried her. I've never understood the Taylor Swift attraction, she's not a horrible looking Woman but her facial features are very petite and chipmunky whilst her body is a tad bit too skinny, Dua is slim herself but a bit more shapely. Ariana Grande is very beautiful but a tad too petite and dainty. Shakira is great.
