Vlad is in love with Jim Jordan for some reason. He insists on everything being run past the guy before others can comment on it.

As I understood, they have an adopted child. Does adopted children have not the right to have a normal family life with one/two people to look up? I really don't understand why people have problems with same sex marriages, as long its not themselves who are forced into it?
I rather prefer to change the laws, that marriages without children after a certain age (lets say 45 of both partners) are losing all marriage privileges out there, because they missed the chance to provide anything substantial to the society. And here I don't care, if its same sex or normal.

No. Heterosexual couples need a name to pass onto children. Historically the male headed the household. Nothing subjugating about that. Everyone knows who's the mother. The father needed a legal name tying him to his offspring.

Hell no. I might love another man. But I'm a man in my own right. I would never take his name or expect him to take my name. A dog collar will suffice.

I explained above why wives take their husband's name. It gives their children a name. And it ties the father to his children, legally. It has nothing to do with subjugation.
